Formaldehyde analysis laboratory

Groupe 6NAPSE laboratories perform the analysis and quantification of formaldehyde.
What is the formaldehyde ?
Formaldehyde is one of the most closely monitored volatile organic compounds (VOCs) due to its high reactivity, irritating properties, and classification as a known human carcinogen. Widely used in the synthesis of synthetic resins, binders for wood-based panels, paints, adhesives, textiles, and coatings, its off-gassing from finished products poses a major concern for human health and the indoor environment.
Laboratory analysis and quantification of Formaldehyde
Within the 6NAPSE Group, our laboratories specialized in materials science and chemical analysis assist industrial clients in the characterization, quantification and validation of the compliance of their products.
Due to the high volatility and small size of the formaldehyde molecule, we detect it at very low levels (in the ppm or ppb range).
- VOC characterization
- VOC screening
- Chemical analysis and quantification of formaldehyde
- Identification of formaldehyde substitutes
Application cases
Transport, auto and aeronautics
Inside vehicle cabins, it is emitted during the outgassing of various components subject to temperature fluctuations:
- Textiles and foams: seat fabrics, and foams used for seat and steering wheel padding.
- Plastics and molded parts: dashboards, door trim, and resins located under the hood.
6NAPSE Group assets
- Complete validation plan (support for all tests of a standard)
- All controls, tests and analyzes in our laboratories are carried out in compliance with the quality criteria of our industrial customers.
- Short standard deadlines and emergency support options
