Seismic analysis by simulation

analyse sismique simulation numérique armoire électrique énergie nucléaire

The 6NAPSE Group carries out seismic analysis by simulation, and supports manufacturers in validating the resistance of equipment to earthquakes.

In the event of an earthquake, industrial equipment may malfunction or fail. To guarantee the safety of people and property, they must therefore meet strict earthquake resistance criteria.

The objective of a seismic analysis is the verification and study of the resistance of equipment following the amplifications of the accelerations induced by the seismic loading.

Seismic analysis by simulation

A numerical simulation seismic analysis is a virtual simulation of equipment that is propagated by extreme response spectra in a 3D elastic medium.

Seismic tests are generally cumbersome to set up and expensive (prototype production, test on a multi-axis bench, etc.).
The 6NAPSE Group reproduces the conditions of an earthquake virtually and carries out seismic analyzes by simulation. We validate the resistance of the equipment to earthquakes.

The 6NAPSE Group simulates and models equipment with all its components. It then applies a seismic loading (extreme response spectrum). The simulation makes it possible to obtain the upper bounds of stresses and displacements on the model, corresponding to the maximum values seen over the entire duration of the earthquake. It is thus possible to check the mechanical strength of the equipment.

The 6NAPSE Group carries out these simulations according to EUROCODE/RCC-MX standards or according to specifications.
