ISTA 2C Testing

Our testing laboratory performs ISTA 2C testing to simulate the transportation of individual furniture packaging.
What is ISTA 2C ?
The ISTA 2C test procedure, defined by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA), is a standardized protocol for evaluating the performance and robustness of individual furniture packaging (known as “Case Goods”) during transport.
ISTA 2C is therefore an essential standard for furniture manufacturers wishing to ensure the safety and integrity of their products during distribution.
ISTA 2C testing by 6NAPSE
The 6NAPSE Group is an ISTA Testing Laboratory certified. Our testing laboratory performs ISTA 2C tests to ensure the integrity of individually packaged furniture products. Traditionally used for hard goods and not upholstered furniture, this technique can be applied to any type of furniture transported in a container.
The ISTA 2C procedure simulates the transport conditions to which furniture packaging is likely to be exposed. This includes atmospheric preconditioning, controlled atmospheric conditioning, and random vibration tests under dynamic load.
The test sequence is:
- Climatic Preconditioning
- Climatic Conditioning
- Random Vibration
- Shock/Drop
Furthermore, the 6NAPSE Group is able to conduct other ISTA procedures to meet different conditions or objectives.
