Prototype design and validation
The 6NAPSE Group supports manufacturers in prototype design. We intervene in the stages of simulation, realization and in its experimental validation.
Before a new product is put on the market, manufacturers create a prototype internally or externally. To validate it, they rely on the expertise of a design office.
- You have designed a prototype and you notice a defect.
- You have designed a prototype and you need to analyze if there is a defect.
- You have designed a prototype and you want to test / validate it.
- You want to design a prototype and you need help with the design.
Indeed, the 6NAPSE Group is involved in all stages of product design:
Prototype design or redesign
A prototype may have a defect during its design (e.g. breakage, wear, bad sizing, etc.). This can be observed by the manufacturer or in a test center. We can analyze the type of failure in the laboratory or on the customer site.
The 6NAPSE Group can design a digitally validated solution in principle through virtual testing and iteratively to limit the creation of several physical prototypes (saving time and money).
Prototype making
Once the prototype has been validated, the design office can find standard products from its suppliers. In addition, he can also design them and have them made to measure. Then, the teams integrate them into the system taking into account customer constraints (mass, size, cost). Then, the parts are manufactured and delivered with assembly instructions.
Ultimately, it is possible to validate that the prototype complies with the specifications, standards, regulations and general objectives.
Experimental validation
Once a prototype is designed, it is essential to test it before producing it on a large scale. Also, the 6NAPSE Group provides prototype control and qualification services.
- Keeping the objectives anew: digital simulation and then validation, by testing
- Reliability and Accelerated Tests: vibration, environmental, mechanical. The objective is the validation of the mechanical robustness.
- Performance analysis after aging
Thus, the 6NAPSE Group can estimate the lifespan of a product and the stage from which failures can occur.
6NAPSE Group assets
- Expertise throughout the prototype design cycle thanks to multiple and complementary skills: engineering (testing, CAD, measurements, simulation, calculations, etc.) and laboratory (materials analysis, failure expertise, etc.)
- An innovative and complete technical park
Applications
- Optimization of the reception structure and suspensions of an automotive engine block
- Redesign of a laser rail topology measurement system
- Optimization of an end of chain bench for electric motor
