Bending testing

essais de flexion, résistance mécanique d'une raquette

The 6NAPSE Group performs bending testing to determine the rigidity and strength of a product.

What is a bending test?

A bending test is a mechanical test used to evaluate the flexural strength of a material. It is a common method to characterize the mechanical properties of materials.

Bending testing in testing laboratory

The 6NAPSE Group testing laboratory has a tensile testing machine, a robot arm and jacks to conduct these tests.

  • 3-point bending test: the load is applied to the center of the sample resting on two simple supports.
  • 4-point bending test: the load is applied to two intermediate points of the sample resting on four supports.
  • Bending with embedding: the load is applied at a distance X from the edge of the sample, the other is embedded.

These tests are used to determine:

  • Force at break
  • Plastic deformation of the product
  • Rigidity of the material

The 6NAPSE Group carries out tests throughout the production chain, from the prototype, through to the approval or self-inspection of the product according to specifications.

The 6NAPSE Group conducts other mechanical resistance testing on products.
