Impact testing : shock test
The 6NAPSE Group carries out impact testing and determines the impact resistance of materials, components, parts or packaging.
During the life of a product, it may be subject to shocks and impacts. It can accidentally fall or be hit by another object. These mechanical phenomena can affect the proper functioning of the product and generate defects.
Thus, as part of the validation of their product, manufacturers must check whether there is a malfunction, breakage or even a short circuit in the event that the product is impacted. The impact can occur in particular during air transport.
Impact testing Lab
The 6NAPSE Group carries out impact tests in the Test Center. Impact tests provide characteristics about the product and its failure behavior. Indeed, these tests simulate mechanical mistreatment due to an impact likely to cause an internal short circuit or any other fault.
Based on the results obtained, the 6NAPSE Group determines the impact resistance of a material, component, part or packaging.
In addition to this impact test, it can identify the expected life of the material or product studied. For this, it carries out virtual tests accelerated by simulation and calculation. 6NAPSE Group laboratories can also offer failure analysis to more accurately identify product design weaknesses. In addition, the 6NAPSE Group also carries out altitude tests in air transport.
These tests mainly concern the electric battery / electric motor (UN38.3).
