Carbon / Sulfur analyzer

analyseur carbone soufre et dosage élémentaire

The 6NAPSE Group laboratory carries out the dosage and elemental analysis of Carbon and Sulfur. It leads to the determination of nuances or to rule on the origin of a failure.

Elemental analysis laboratory: carbon and sulfur

The 6NAPSE Group laboratories carry out chemical analysis and elemental dosage of materials.

C/S analysis makes it possible to measure carbon and sulfur in a metal sample. The elemental analysis of carbon and sulfur consists of determining the chemical composition of a sample, in particular its content. Elemental analysis makes it possible to obtain quantitative (concentration and dosage) or qualitative (presence or absence) information on chemical elements.

  • Dosage of Carbon (C)
  • Dosage of Sulfur (S)

This high-precision equipment is equipped with an induction furnace allowing the combustion of samples at high temperatures. The quantifications of sulfur and carbon are carried out using infrared cells. These dosages are important for determining or verifying the expected nuances. These elements, often in small quantities, are essential for judging the quality of metallic materials.

We carry out the determination of carbon and sulfur in steels and cast irons, but also in other metal matrices.

Chemical composition of metallic materials

This analyzer complements our capabilities in the chemical composition of metallic materials. Indeed, our laboratory supports manufacturers in the dosing of many different metallic materials.

These analyzes are often requested on an ad hoc basis, but are also integrated for a material verification when metallic materials fail. Carbon or oxygen levels can have a significant effect on materials and finished products; regular quality control is recommended.
