Temperature and humidity testing: tropical environment
The 6NAPSE Group carries out damp heat testing to test the robustness of a product exposed to a hot and humid environment.
A high temperature and humid environment can generate many failure modes: short circuits, change in the characteristics of electronic components, material properties. Humidity stresses are likely to cause condensation, deformation, swelling, and/or mechanical or sealing failure.
Heat can, for example, cause expansion of the part (particularly plastic), which can lead to functional clearances. Thus, the purpose of adding moisture is to check whether this expansion can cause a poor seal and allow water to enter.
Temperature and humidity testing
The 6NAPSE Group carries out climatic tests of hot-humid steaming and cycling.
A hot and humid environment such as a tropical environment (Australian, Brazilian) is reproduced. The purpose is to check the behavior in high temperature conditions and the impermeability to humidity.
The 6NAPSE Group has 3 moist heat chambers.
