Dust testing
The 6NAPSE Group carries out dust testing to validate the protection index of the products.
Are your products dustproof?
The purpose of these tests is to check the product’s tightness against particles or dust. In its environment of use, the product is exposed to specific environments. For example, it is can be used on the beach, in the desert but also encounter particles in general such as smoke.
Dust and particles can indeed create failures or malfunctions in mechanical and electronic systems (blockage, short circuit, etc.). This test concerns all types of industry.
Dust testing IP5X and IP6X
The dust tests are IP5X and IP6X waterproof tests. IP5X refers to protection against dust: possible dust ingress if it does not affect the operation of the product. On the other hand, the IP6X evokes a dust-tight product.
Dust sealing testing laboratory
The 6NAPSE Group conducts its tests according to the ISO 20653, ISO 12103 and IEC 60068 standards. Our test laboratory has the possibility of vacuuming to comply with the IP6X requirement in IEC0529.
Different dusts are possible: Arizona dust, talc, etc.!
